Speaking of Gold...
by Allan Harris
Back to the business of trading.
Gold and silver peaked earlier this year. Since then, it's been failed breakouts, frustrating rallies, and enough volatility to send most traders looking elsewhere.
That's exactly what major bull markets do before their next advance — they wear out the crowd first.
I'm seeing something very different.
The Setup
My Elliott Wave count shows only four of five major waves higher since the 2024 low. If that count is right, one final Wave 5 advance still lies ahead — and historically, Wave 5 is the phase that captures public attention and produces the biggest gains.
Think back to the 1970s Gold bull market: $35 to $870. It didn't happen in a straight line, but investors who recognized the trend early caught one of the greatest commodity moves in history.

I believe we may be looking at a similar setup right now.
Why I'm Paying Attention
Two things have my full attention:
- The wave count still points to one final advance.
-
The support test. Gold recently tested a major support zone where long-term trend support intersects with the projected Wave 4 correction. When two independent forms of technical analysis agree, that's worth watching closely.

On the daily chart, several resistance lines sit just above current prices — you can see them fanning out from the Wave 3 high in the chart below. As Gold clears them one by one, that's the confirmation I'm waiting for that Wave 5 is underway.

If Wave 5 plays out as the count suggests, the Fibonacci extension puts my long-term target in the $11,600–$22,900 range — a wide band, but even the low end would mark one of the largest moves Gold has ever made.
Whether Gold ultimately gets there or not, I believe the next sustained advance could create extraordinary opportunities in GLD call options.
Owning Gold Is One Thing. Trading It Is Another.
Buying calls and hoping isn't a strategy. The real profits come from knowing when to enter, when to add, when to take profits, and when to step aside.
That's exactly what subscribers get.
During Gold's run from the 2024 low through the January 2026 peak, our Premium Service issued 17 GLD option trades — 12 closed profitably, with several producing triple-digit returns.
Every trade was managed with disciplined entries, exits, profit targets, and risk controls. Not buy-and-hold. Not guesswork.

Every GLD option trade issued to Premium Service subscribers from March 2024 through the January 2026 peak.
Past performance never guarantees future results, and no track record — including this one — should be read as a promise of what's ahead. Of the 17 trades, 12 closed profitably, 2 closed at a loss (-17.24% and -50.00%), and 3 closed flat. That mix is what disciplined trading actually looks like: not every signal works, but the process is built to let winners run and cut losers early.
If this is the start of the next major leg up, I intend to approach it exactly the same way.
What's Ahead
Say Gold doubles over the next few years. That alone would be a great outcome for anyone holding the metal.
But a well-managed call option strategy has the potential to turn that same move into returns dramatically larger than the metal itself — if it's traded correctly. That's where experience matters.
My job isn't to tell you Gold is bullish. My job is to find the highest-probability entries, manage risk through the trade, and press the advantage as the trend unfolds. I'll be monitoring Gold continuously, updating subscribers throughout the week, and issuing new signals the moment conditions warrant.
If this Wave 5 analysis is correct, it could be one of the most profitable trading environments we've seen in years — and I intend to be fully positioned when it begins.
The time to join is before the breakout — not after everyone else already sees it.
