A frequent weekly feature of my Premium Service is a late session "Into The Close" post on Friday's, i.e., something to think about as the market ends one week and embarks on a new one. Below is last Friday's Into The Close in its entirety. Enjoy.
Into The Close: Something To Think About
by Allan Harris January 16, 2026
A three-day weekend awaits, as the market is closed Monday in observance of MLK Day. Silver trades globally, and the world will continue working Monday, moving silver prices up or down without U.S. market participation. The advantage currently lies with the silver bulls, and we could be facing significant gains, or losses, when we reconvene on Tuesday.
As discussed on Wednesday, only one potential rollover in our Premium January options portfolio and that is GLD, which if still being held, is to be rolled into the Mar 20th SLV $100C. As of about mid-session Friday, those options are trading as follows:
GLD Jan 16th $400C

SLV Mar 20th $100C

Query Grok: Something to Think About Over Long Weekend
Query Grok: "Assuming that SLV continues to rise at its daily gains so far in 2026, what will its price be on Mar 20th options expiration? "
Grok response:
"In short: If the YTD daily pace literally continued, SLV could theoretically hit $200+ by March 20—dream fuel for your March calls."
Is it a stretch? Yes, but it is also a logical extrapolation, as all SLV as to do to reach that price level over the next two months is maintain its current YTD rate of appreciation.
SLV Daily

This EW count and Fib extension level is suggesting a more conservative price objective for SLV into March expiration; about $130, as opposed to Grok's $200 projection. Still, it would be quite the gain anyone holding March $100 calls, i.e., about $3,000/call (currently $450).
Now, this really has to be read and understood:
Past performance is not a guarantee of future success.
Spot Silver - Updated Monday, Jan 19th, late-morning

Spot silver is up about 5.0% today, while Gold is trading up about 1.75%. Relative strength remains with Silver, ergo our focus on SLV calls.
