Housekeeping: Updates and/or trade Alerts are sent out to PRO subscribers at noon ET and are posted on the website earlier, as they are written. Although I have been posting just about every day for the past week, such will not always be the case. Some days there will be nothing needed to be said in this PRO Service. But that is not the case today: TSLA, Again. Those Mar 2022 calls discussed on Oct 20th @ $9.50 ($950) reached a high today of $210 ($21,000). That is the magic that is TSLA and the enormous leverage that even six-month out options bring. During that same time TSLA is up "only" 40%, compared to a gain of $2,100% for the calls. The Jun 17, 2022 $1,200 LEAPS (any calls over 12 months) we bought on Jun 23, 2021 @ $32.50 ($3,250) at its highs today were up 715%, and this is for a long term buy and hold position. If you are thinking of rolling up to a higher strike price for more leverage, the highest strike price available for any expiration is currently $2,400. At that price our Jun 2022 $1,200 LEAPS will be worth at a minimum, $100,000, a gain of 3,000%. I guess we can live with that. Shorter term I am monitoring all of my various time-based trend models, even down to the 30 minute model, for an entry opportunity for a new shorter-term trade. Finally, the biggest risk to TSLA is a market crash. No stocks will be spared and some will get hit harder than others, especially companies with failing business models. There is way to hedge against such risk. We are looking at UVXY as one way. Longer-term puts on GM and F are another. I'll be going over some scenarios in the days ahead with actionable ideas.
