VIX Reversal Last week I introduced the VIX Breakout System to the PRO Service in this update. Despite the initial signal not working (yet*), the system has come around again and triggered a repeat signal as of yesterday's reversing bullish candle. Historically, this pattern has presented an opportunity to buy VIX calls in front of a rally of at least 50%, that averages 65% with occasions of generating several hundred percent on VIX, and multiples of that on near term VIX calls. *The Jan 21st $20C purchased on the initial signal is still active, trading slightly below entry today.
