Normally a 73% gain in for week would stand out for a new trade, but the return on XOM calls bought just last week pale in comparison to the SLV calls bought last month. Still, that move up is enough to move our stop in the XOM calls to break-even, as per the performance table below: PRO Options - Recent Trades New highs ("Best Returns") across the board today. The huge gains shown in all except XOM above give us some flexibility on the trailing stops. In particular, we can use a "close only" rule for determining if a stop is hit, as with all of the volatility of the past few days, those percentage price levels did come close intraday. As for Gold, we are not holding any GLD calls in the PRO Service, but these below are held via the Premium Service, just over one week ago: Also showing a "Best Return," new high today. It is noteworthy that Gold has been keeping pace with Silver over the past few days, marking a shift in the relationship between the two metals. Throughout much of their 10-month rally, Silver has consistently outperformed Gold by a significant margin. What might this change signify? We will find out soon enough.
