TSLA earnings are out after the close today. The chatter from everyone from talking heads on CNBC to newbie Robinhood traders is that Tesla will report a profit for the second quarter and thus qualify and then be included in the S&P 500. That consensus is the only troubling aspect of a positive trading outcome for those of us long calls. Actually, not the only one. With TSLA trading at $1,590 this morning, the July 24th $2,000 Call (2 days to expiration and 400 points out of the money) is trading at $17.30. So far 2K of these calls have traded, and it's only an hour into the session. Let's hope that by this time tomorrow it's well in-the-money.
