Finally, Tesla's Annual Shareholders Meeting & Battery Day is upon us, all starting Tuesday @ 1:30 pm PDT. Speculation abounds, mostly about game changing developments in battery technology. Would that be what Musk, when referring to Battery Day, has described to be,"insane," and, "will blow your mind?" More importantly, has this widely anticipated new battery technology already been priced in? Shares closed after-hours trading on Friday at $449.50, up from a $442.15 regular session close, and that was up from a Thursday close of $423.43, and THAT was up from a close last Friday (Sep 7th) of $372.72. I'll do the math: +20% last week. Assuming we have all, "Bought the rumor," and loaded up on shares/calls, do we really want to "Sell the news?" My plan to exit on Tuesday my "extra" calls bought in anticipation of the event, is now in flux. TSLA has repeatedly surprised on the long side since last December. Is it about to do so once more? Monday and Tuesday's price action may give us an answer. Stay tuned.
