Last week was a good week for Gold & Silver, but an even better week for the Gold & Silver Miners. This is a tradable relative strength shift and we should take note moving forward as all of the above breakout into fifth waves to new highs. The Junior Silver Miners ETF (SILJ) went from $24 a week ago Friday, to $29 on Friday's close. That is a gain of 20% for the week. That compares favorable to the Gold Miners Index (GDX) which was up 18% last week. For comparison, Gold and Silver were both up roughly 7-8% last week. This wide disparity in performance (miners up more than double the percentage of the metals) is bullish for both sectors, but especially bullish for the miners. SIL - Global Silver Miners The initial breakout occurred mid-week, resulting in a 15% gain for the week, but an even stronger breakout occurs on any close higher next week. SILJ - Junior Silver Miners A similar chart pattern for the more speculative Junior Silver Miners index. Trading Plan Any close higher in these two indices next week will constitute a breakout of the YTD corrective decline, suggesting a run to new highs in both indices in the months ahead. We will use such strength to add calls on SIL and/or SILJ: SIL will be tracked in in the Premium Service and SILJ will be tracked in the PRO Service, along with already existing positions in the sector. Individual Stocks Of Interest I've added a couple individual stocks that have stellar chart patterns, with attractive calls for speculation. For now, we will officially be adding calls on the indices as per above, but feel free to add one or both of these names below as per personal preference.
