When I wrote the Into The Close commentary yesterday, it was in anticipation of geopolitical upheaval over the weekend. This morning brought the first phase of said upheaval as, "Operation Epic Fury," has begun. It remains to be seen how the markets will react come Monday's open, but "coercive regime change" as one of the talking heads calls it, can go any which way. As one put it, "we'll see in the coming hours and days how this will play out." Active Option Positions - Monday, Monday These are not all of our Active option positions, but the ones most relevant to geopolitical hostilities. Monday's Open It is way too early to speculate on what effect actual military action will have come Monday's Open. I'll post fresh updates if any special opportunities arise, but from past instances of news-related moves, they are often sharp, temporary and ultimately retraced. In other words, no rush to action is likely to present serious intermediate term returns. Let's stick to our charts, all of which closed Friday with the following messages: Stocks/Bitcoin ---> Down Gold/Silver/Oil ---> Up Option Strategy There are three full weeks left until March expiration, plenty of time for our March option positions to play out. However, in keeping with out "next month" preference in expirations, we will be looking to April expiration for any new positions, which could come as soon as Monday depending on market action. Stay tuned, both services, for potential new trades, if any, around mid-to-late session on Monday. Stock Charts DJI - Daily Five waves up complete at Feb 10 highs, since then Wave 1 down, followed by Wave 2 up in a 61.8% retracement: Wave 3 down pending. SPY - Weekly SPY Weekly turns back below its 8-week EMA, with both SPY and its EMA turning down. QQQ - 2 Day Lots of moving parts in this QQQ 2-Day chart. The underlying assumption, supported by AI analysis, is that a corrective Wave 4 (circle) will take the index down 100 points this spring. For our purposes, we want to capture as much of those 100 points down as we can with index puts. IWM Daily Even without an EW count, this IWM Daily chart strongly suggesting downside resolution. Gold & Silver Spot Gold - 2 Day Key takeaway - Gold breaking through congestion on its way to between: $6K - $7K Spot Silver - 2 Day Silver projecting to $140 - $190 in Wave 5. Bitcoin - 2 Day If BTC can break below $60K, then $40K, then $20k... Active Options "Active" = Unexpired and not exited via -50% hard stop. PRO Service Premium Service
