We were looking for a successful break of the smaller trend channel and ultimately the larger trend channel, both coincident to a Stochastic Sell Signal: Instead, we got this fake out break and then reversal off the bottom of the lower trend channel on Friday's big gap-up day: The arrows above show where the S&P found support (lower trend line) and then on Friday found resistance at the convergence at the upper trend lines of both channels. Once again the stochastic is primed for a Sell Signal and it could come this week. If generated, initial target for the S&P is the lower trend channel. some 75 S&P points lower. If the, "Wave 3 new leg down," scenario were to unfold, that top arrow pointing down will have nailed it, with an initial target of 1,000 S&P points down, and 9,000 Dow points lower, i.e., the March 23rd lows.
