I've been posting a lot of content and trading ideas lately, in part because I can't control when the opportunities arise and in part because of a nice bump in subscribership due to the success our trading has had throughout much of 2024, thanks to timely buys in PLTR, RKLB, TSLA, BITO and earlier in the year with GLD and SLV. Nothing ignites the creative juices like 500% option wins. Speaking of which, let's make this Weekend Update short and sweet with a recap of active, unexpired options. Daunting as it may appear, note that all of the options in the table are for the most part covering just five stocks. I've been running some preliminary numbers for our option trading YTD and the returns have been stellar. A more complete itemization is forthcoming, before the end of the year, but for now, let's look at what is still on the books, neither expired nor stopped out, which by definition, requires daily attention to protect gains if the market were to stumble before the end of the year. Premium Trading Service - Active Options Almost every one of these trades was initiated because of a chart pattern. Seventeen active options is a little misleading, since PLTR accounts for seven positions, TSLA/TSLL accounts for four and BITO accounts for three. I don't expect most traders would have more than one or two option positions for in any one stock. In any case, the number of stocks represented by these positions is a much more manageable five: PLTR, TSLA, RKLB, BITO and SOFI. Let's recap where each stands on the charts and where price projects into the next 45-90 days. Two-Day Charts - The Secret Sauce TSLA Why 2-Day? Because looking at the same time frames in price charts as everyone else has its limitations. How many traders do you know look at two day charts...besides us? You have to create your own edge. Looking at the 2-Day above causes me to pause on my assumption that TSLA has completed Waves iii and iv, and in fact, could still be unfolding in a Wave iii of 3 of (3). If so, that $1,200 target near the top of the Fib extension tool may carry a lot more weight than the lower $500 target, making $800 in 2025 a pleasant compromise. TSLA has the potential to double in a few months, so let's see how fast price moves through the $400's in the next quarter or so. It closed in Friday's after hours trading @ $394.67 TSLL On Friday TSLA was up 5.3%, while TSLL was up 10.6%...outperformance that is exactly as designed. PLTR Until PLTR shows otherwise, we have to assume much higher prices to come in the months ahead. Bitcoin Volatility is now part of this trade, so expect the occasional 5-10% moves virtually overnight and for the foreseeable future. If that is the fastest and surest road to $200K, I'm fine with it. RKLB Horizontal channel for a year, than a dynamic break-out. Familiar ring to it? Look at PLTR and Bitcoin above, and SOFI below. SOFI The newest addition to our arsenal. "Flat," was the story with both PLTR AND RKLB just after buying our first calls and how did those turn out?
