The Oct 14th Pre-earnings update titled, "Tesla," identified the Mar 2022 $1,200C as an example of what kind of gains could be made on TSLA's next leg up: "The March 18th (2022) $1,200 calls are trading today at $9.50 ($950). At $1,400 those calls are worth $200 ($20,000)." At the time TSLA was trading at $865. It almost immediately went on a tear hitting an all time high of $1,243 on Nov 4th, while the call reached a high of $220. From entry to high the (unrealized) return was over 2,000%. On Friday the call closed at $88.50, leaving a gain of about 830%. I thought it would take until expiration in March 2022 for that call to reach $20,000. I was wrong, it only took three weeks. Even now with TSLA down presumably on Elon's continued selling of up to 10% of his shares, the call is up 8X. My price targets on TSLA since late 2009 have been spot on, including the target of $1,000 by year end 2021. That one hit two months early. I'm not just shooting from the hip here, I am adding up the numbers and milestones, past, present and future. This is what lays ahead: (1) Elon's stock sales, which are providing a damper on price action, will end by late Nov to early Dec; (2) Two new Gigafactories, Austin and Berlin, will be opening by year end and ramping to full production into 1st half of 2022; (3) $8K EV credit by end of year 2021 or early 2022; (4) FSD (full self-driving) release first quarter 2022; (5) Game changer new 4680 battery in full scale production 2nd qtr 2022; (6) Semi-Truck production by 2nd qtr 2022; (7) Cybertruck production 1st half, 2022; (8) Compact Tesla @ $25K (before tax credit) probably in 2nd half 2022; (9) Four more stellar earnings reports due out in next 12 months; (10) Stock split by year end 2022. Cathie Wood, ARK Invest, on TSLA drop this past week: "Of course the momentum players turned tail as soon as the stock reacted to that news and followed it down; For us, we have been taking profits on the way up and receiving a lot of criticism for it, and for us this is nothing but a blip on the way to $3,000." The Jan 2024 $2,475C The furtherest out option expiration is Jan 2024 (798 days) and its highest strike price is $2,475. At a stock price of $3,000 this call is worth: $525 ($52,500). It closed Friday at about $115 ($11,500). That would be a return of about 350%. But We Can Do Better This is a trading service and as shown above with the Mar 2022 $1,200C, interim returns of an almost exponential magnitude are possible through shorter-term trades. From my correspondence with both new and old subscribers (old meaning from the beginning of the service, not in age, although is some cases it's both), our trading of TSLA and its calls have literally changed lives. It has mine. There is more to come and if for any reason your life hasn't been affected in a financially transformative way yet, it will. As Cathie Wood alluded to above, this retracement is a blip on the path to a much higher stock price and whereas exact path is uncertain, the longer-term trend is inescapable, A few more days or even weeks of Elon's selling, or whatever it is that is affecting the stock right now and our systems will be primed for new Buy Signals in both the short and intermediate term trends. Price levels have already been discussed here, but a bona-fide pattern recognition based Buy will be an excellent entry for the next leg up, the one that takes TSLA to new highs between $1,500-$2,000 in the next 6-12 months and $3,000 by Jan 2024 options expiration. Stand-by. Likely Retracement Levels
