Yesterday's, Into The Close, teased as follows: "Coming Saturday: An Intermediate Term Sell Signal on a household name casts a bearish shadow across all of Nasdaq. Details in Weekend Update." Saturday has come and its time to fess-up. PRO members already got a head start, but this one looks too good to keep under wraps any longer. Behold a longer-term chart of AAPL with red arrows indicating three Sell Signals, the third of which was triggered just this past week: AAPL Weekly Each red arrow occurred as price on the Weekly chart rallied to touch the upper parallel trend channel trend line. Each time price declined back below the top line and fell to the lower parallel trend channel line. Each time, that is, except this most recent one. which is just beginning its journey. The assumption here is that the current touch and reversal will also unfold with a sizable decline to the bottom of the trend channel. Such a decline will take AAPL from its Friday close of $278.78 to somewhere between $220-200, depending on how long it takes to reach the lower trend line. Accordingly, let's start out positioning with some March, 2026 out-of-the-money puts and manage the trade going forward as AAPL declines over the course of the coming weeks and months. AAPL - Weekly Topping Tail - Bearish Candle Pattern In addition, price has just traced out a, "Topping Tail," a Classic Bearish Candle that portends lower prices immediately ahead. AAPL Daily Bar Chart This Daily set-up is targeting $245 or below by March Expiration AAPL Mar Puts Needless to say, an intermediate term decline in AAPL of between 20-30% does not bode well for the general market, nor Nasdaq. Picking a top in the 4th quarter of 2025 has been elusive, so we are holding off on any new market index puts until support is broken by price action, notably in QQQ. I am watching my charts day-to-day and will announce any new option choices to capitalize on such a down move for a future update. Look for it as early as Monday and as late as...next year. QQQ Daily Price will either breakout above top trend line, or breakdown below ascending channel just below current prices. Next week is crucial for short-to-intermediate term direction, either the traditional Santa Claus rally, or something much more ominous. Active Options PRO Service Premium Service
