Accessing New Picks In the Apr 8th, "Into The Close," I recommended calls on AAPL that were trading @ 3.60. After writing the piece I posted it at the website and about an hour later it was sent out by our Blue Line mail server. Since Premium updates go out at noon, Arizona time, there is often a time delay between actual posting and email notices, sometimes that delay works in our favor by getting more favorable option prices, sometimes the opposite is true. This time, since I felt so compelled with the AAPL pick, I also posted a head's up on my personal X account for subscribers to visit the Blue Line website to read the update. The AAPL trade one week in: When I posted the AAPL write-up the call was trading at 3.60, between the time of the post and my personal purchase, they had risen to 4.00 (reflected in the trade table). Subsequently, the call peaked at 7.65, +91% on August 14th and closed yesterday at 5.60, +40%. In other words, time was of the essence in getting into this AAPL trade and the fastest way to get the trade was on the website around two hours before the close. If you waited for the email, it was one hour before the close and the call was already trading well above 5.00. Here is the daily chronology of price appreciation since posting: AAPL Oct $240C This is my long winded way of suggesting that if you frequent X, or even if you don't, I will sometimes use it to give an early heads-up on new picks. I will never share a new option pick on X, but I will link the website for subscribers, as I did with the AAPL post, so Blue Line subscribers, Premium and PRO, can get an early heads-up on new picks. Again, here is the link to my X account: Allan H Caveat: As always, there is never a rush to jump on any new recommendation and waiting a day or two can sometimes result in better option pricing, but sometimes, as was the case with AAPL, the sooner the better. All I can do is get you to my trade ideas as quickly as possible, while you decide if and/or when to pull the trigger. The Big Picture The current market sentiment is overbought and over-extended, something that has been the case for most of the summer. The highly watched Fear & Greed Index has been stuck in Greed for the past month. For what its worth, it can just as easily go to Extreme Greed over the next month, or slip down into Fear into seasonal lows which are due in Sep-Oct. If the market stumbles here, I will find a suitable market hedge, UVXY calls or SPY/QQQ puts, to profit therefrom. But unless and until that happens, the most likely resolution continues to be higher. With that in mind below are the charts at the top of my list for price appreciation over the next 4-6 weeks. ----- Best Looking Charts AAPL (see commentary above) Oct 17th $240C PLTR "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
