TSLA Tesla will post its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2021 after the market close on Wednesday January 26, 2022. The pre/post earnings price action over just two weeks is not easily tradable, but, the 12-month price target based on auto production and deliveries alone (excluding solar/battery/FSD and the likelihood of a stock split) is tradable. My windows are large, but historically price has reached the upper end of the window and done so sooner than expected. Long-Term: $4,500 Looking at the middle chart below, the long-term monthly chart, a share price of $4,500 by 2025 looks doable, and an end-of-year (2022) price in the $2,000's makes $4,500 by 2025 not just doable, but probable. Apple dominates global communications and is worth $3T. Tesla, by 2025, will dominate both global transportation and renewable energy, each worth $3T. That makes a $4,500 share price ($4.5T), undervalued. 12-Month Target: $1,500 - $2,000 The only unknown is the path price takes from here to there, especially in the next 12 months, i.e., up-down-up or down-up-down-up. It will be one or the other, and the final up will reach a minimum of $1,500 in a worst case scenario, the results of a macro market-wide event to the downside without which the realistic maximum is in the neighborhood of $2,500. TSLA has for over two years been surprising to the upside, so much so that it no longer can be called a surprise when good things happen to the company/stock. Share price is 25% higher than it was 12 months ago, about 100% higher than it was at the mid-May lows. A year from now, when the size of the company's production capacity is twice what it was last year (adding Austin and Berlin Gigafactories), assuming a gain of at least 50% in 12 months and/or as much as 200% from this year's lows, is a reasonable start...and all of this before production begins on the 1.3 million pre-orders of Cybertruck. In 2025 we will look back at the 2020-2025 Tesla growth cycle and ask how did we not see this coming? Except, we have.
