The combination of a pattern recognition trigger (breakout of wedge) with mathematically based trigger (trend model algorithm) would present a compelling long signal for one month out-of-the-money calls for either VXX or UVXY. We've been waiting for this new volatility signal all of July and August, we can wait a little longer if that is what it takes, but no matter what, we don't want to miss the next blue up arrow.
