We don't know where the VZ Long trade will end up, but the calls are up 70% in just 8 days and have locked in a gain of at least 23%, no matter what happens. All of this on a move of only 3% in the shares (see chart below). VZ was added to the portfolio for just this reason, a small stock move generates large option returns (so long as we get the direction right).
