Tonight's Democratic debate joins the spread of coronavirus as the largest overhangs on the market. A good showing by Bernie Sanders could spook the market tomorrow, as would an exponential increase in global coronavirus cases. The absence of either development could set the stage for a massive relief rally. Add to those contingencies the rumor of an emergency interest rate cut of 50 basis points and we are at the mercy of a news-event dominated market environment. The market may very well gap tomorrow, with the direction a big unknown. Look at your option positions before today's close and make sure you are comfortable with the effect any of the above contingencies will have on your account. If not, consider trimming. Updated trade tables will be up and sent out after today's close.
