Behind the scenes the short-term portfolio stocks are monitored for not only recent performance, but whether recent performance is deviating from past performance in a significant way. On both counts, gold has failed and has been removed from the portfolio. The good news is that a dynamo of trading vehicle, SQ, is being added to the portfolio. It has been "Special Situation" stock in the Intermediate Term portfolio, (soon to be elevated to a permanent member of that portfolio). SQ is currently on a run and can be bought now with the May $60 calls, or, just wait for the next Sell Signal. It is now being tracked in the short-term trading table and its current reversal-short price threshold is at $53.07. On the sidelines for the Short-Term portfolio are two promising stocks, VLO (Valero Energy) and WMT (Walmart). Two underperforming models that are at risk of being removed are AAPL and TSLA. But for now, one switch-out at a time.
