If you have been watching the financial news you are already aware of some craziness attached to a set of stocks being touted on a thread in Reddit: wallstreetbets. Among the stocks involved are GME, AMC and NOK. None of these are in are portfolios, nor will they ever be ("famous last words") but the controversy is a reminder that anything can and does happen in the stock market. In this case, 800,000 Reddit participants are going head-to-head against some some of Wall Streets biggest names, including now Robinhood Brokerage and Interactive Brokers who are trying to restrict trading in the Reddit group's touted stocks. The good news is what all of this may foretell for cryptocurrency and in particular Bitcoin. This is the take from Anthony Pompliano, the publisher of The Pomp Letter: "This is the best marketing campaign for the future digital, decentralized financial system. Bitcoin is throwing the middle finger to central banks. Decentralized exchanges are telling centralized peers to kick rocks. Digital assets that trade 24/7/365 without manipulation or intervention is where we are all heading. Whether you’re rich/poor, American/Chinese, smart/dumb, or informed/uninformed, you will be allowed to participate in the markets." ---The Pomp Letter, Jan 28th, Tesla Earnings Yesterday TSLA reported Q4 2020 earnings. As expected, the immediate knee-jerk reaction was a 5% after-hours drop, which is now being followed by a turnaround with price recovering about half of that loss...and still rising. Once the dust settles on the earnings speed bump. a resumption of the long term uptrend is expected. Finally, ZM is trading close to our Sell Signal Pending Alert on Jan 20th. Watch for a trade alert if ZM breaks below $365.
