Palo Alto Networks (PANW) is down 25% today on the heels of its earnings release after hours yesterday. As set out in the Weekend Update, NVDA is up next, earnings due out after today's close. A similar fate will have buying QQQ Apr puts with both hands, while alternatively, a NVDA a gap-up that holds tomorrow will almost surely generate a fresh Buy Signal in TSLA. The new trend set out via either outcome should have legs that carry the market through the rest of February and all of March, if not April. PANW: Feb 21st Earnings Crash NVDA: Pre-earnings. Unless otherwise noted in these updates, QQQ is a short on a close under 425 (buy Apr 19th $400P), and TSLA is a Buy on any rise above $205 (calls to be identified if and when). QQQ - Daily Trend Model --> Sell Pending Strikes: 410-390 = Sweet spot for Apr Q Puts if a worst case scenario unfolds. TSLA: Buy Signal is still only Pending, needs to close strongly above signal line. VIX: Higher highs; higher lows Bullish for VIX, Bearish for stock indices. This pattern keeps us leaning toward a hard down spring for stocks and especially QQQ.
