As of mid-day Thursday and in front of another three-day market holiday weekend, here are our open trades (for Premium Service) going into next week (excluding anything that expires tomorrow, June 16th): Premium Service Open Trades Into Next Week The next big trade in both PRO and Premium Services will probably be a play on a way too suspiciously oversold Volatility Index (VIX) if for no other reason than the absolutely spectacular upside potential. VIX Weekly The Buy Signal (Weekly) in early 2020 took the index from under 20 to 85 in about three weeks. Timing doesn't have to be perfect to turn that into a 10X to 20X upside in out of the money calls. There has been no long term Buy Signal on this index in over a year, so one is overdue any month now. Using our shorter term models, we should already be long calls well before a Weekly Signal, no later than a Daily Buy Signal basis this VIX Model. There has only been one in 2023 and it was a bust. A fresh one is way overdue. VIX Daily Unless something comes out of left field tomorrow (Friday), a fresh Buy on this chart is unlikely before mid-week. It may take one or two swings, but the when this finally spikes higher, above 40 minimum, the wait and frustration will be well worth the angst. TSLA - Speaking of being well worth the wait Note on the chart below the placement of the TSLA Daily Trading Model's trailing ATR line at about $240. A close below the line is first stop level for the Sep 15 $200C, currently trading at about $6,700 (versus a cost basis of $1,040). A true 50% trailing stop would be between $3,500 and $4,000 on the call, at about 1/2 the best price/gain since entry. If TSLA starts dropping we have key levels to take profits on those Sep 2023 calls, based either on the stock price (ATR line) or 50% trailing stops.
