Let's start with the bad news: Juneteenth, War, FOMC In that order, because the Market is closed tomorrow for, "Juneteenth", meaning any volatility emanating from the war, or the FOMC meeting today, will not be able to be acted upon until Friday-Monday, a potential hard down, or hard up, opportunity...or both. All I can say is, "Heads-up" and be tuned into any developments that could affect current or future positions. The Good News: There are a plethora of fresh breakouts and/or breakouts-pending across market indices, sectors and individual stocks. The breakout system was developed and backtested without regard to exogenous circumstances, like Juneteenth, war and FOMC statements, so it shouldn't matter for intermediate and/or long term signals. Shorter-term, if trading options it opens the door for volatility to take a chunk out of prices enough to threaten stops before the breakouts can work their magic, but, hey, if it was easy, we would all be rich (with continuing kudos to all who are retired off our TSLA trades in 2019-2021). Rollover Candidate PLTR We've been trading PLTR heavily for about a year, from the low-$20's in May of 2024 to a high of $145 this past Monday and have yet to incur a losing trade. That streak is in jeopardy as the Jun $140C is about to go off the board and in the red. Such is the nature of this game and having an over 90% win record in any one stock is nothing to sneeze at and even a loss opens the door to the next trade, which is rolling over the PLTR Jun $140C to the July 18th $150C. PLTR Daily A rare single Dual Breakout bar on May 30, targeting higher prices into July and August. Sells Pending On the short side, we have one Pending trade in QQQ, described here. QQQ Daily Buy QQQ July 18th puts as per Jun 17th Alert. Buys Pending Especially of interest to those taking the Online Tutorial, look at the following five charts, a combination of current and/or pending Longs: ANET, OUST, RKLB, STRL, VIX Tutorial registrants: Look for a new Interim Alert, out in the next couple days, with the above charts highlighted.
