Stock picking has become problematic, apart from the usual suspects, AI and TSLA, everything else has been a roll of the dice. Market internals are on life support, while it has been mostly the AI play that has been taking the averages higher day after day. For as long as I have been doing this, roughly 40 years, that has always been a lethal combination for the bulls. Through the FOMC meeting today, geopolitical instability and a slew of earnings this week into next, there are few clean plays, up or down. Can a crockpot of uncertainty morph into a broad-based rally more suited for option trading? That is the question. Today, as 3I Atlas comes out from hiding behind the sun, I have no answer. We've been here before and as before, better trading days are ahead, its simply the nature of the beast. Potential Rreversal window now extends into Friday. Hard Down Plays In the event of a hard down day, I will post trading ideas ASAP, which is late morning for PRO and late afternoon for Premium. If you don't want to wait for an official post, here are my best bets going forward, strike prices to be determined: Expiration: "Next Month" = Nov 21st expiration until Friday, then Dec 20th expiration starting next week. (1) QQQ OTM puts; (2) UVXY OTM Calls; (3) QID OTM calls. Active Options: Premium Service Active = Unexpired AND has not declined 50% or more, but includes positions that should have been at least partially exited basis the 50% trailing stop, i.e., most of the above. Not a bad market environment to be traveling light. Long Ideas If you have to buy something in this market environment I would add more TSLA/TSLL, especially above $500 and would at least take a look at PLTR, but note caution written below, re: earnings on Monday. TSLA See Quick Update On TSLA for current thoughts. We will be adding 2026 expirations starting in November. PLTR The rulebook* says a close above $190 targets $250-$300 for the next leg up. However, PLTR's earnings are out next Monday and I will never recommend a trade right in front of earnings, least of all on a high flyer like PLTR. The Dec calls are highlighted below are a service for sticklers for rules... *Rulebook: Buy breakouts, period.
