Micheal Burry of, "The Big Short," fame, has been hitting it out of the park with some of his current themes. The latest of which was long MSFT, which he was buying with both hands over the summer. He initially disclosed a long position in late April as MSFT fell below $400, then a "bang the table" buy in late June, again as MSFT fell below $400. The result, shares of MSFT have soared from the $370's just last week to $465 today, up over 20%, just this past week. MSFT 2-Day Semiconductors One of his other themes, one that he continues to add to, is shorting the big semiconductor stocks and ETF's. The parallels to his being early in, "The Big Short," and now, with AI infrastructure, abound. I am convinced its only a matter of time until he hits this one out of the park, as well. Consider this the tease, with a more detailed analysis coming this weekend. SMH 240 Minute Up Next: Crash Window This weekend begins the weakest three months seasonality of the year, the proverbial "crash window." I am locked on this SMH 4 hour chart just waiting for an excuse to join Burry on the dark side. More to come this weekend, saving my complete confirmatory analysis for...when else: August.
