Here is an updated table of the three options described in the Mid-Week Update and how they are faring going into the last hour (or two) of trading on expiration Friday. Blue Line Premium - Active Options - March Expiration Observation Noteworthy is that two of these three positions look to be going off the board with gains at or above 500%. The risk of this kind of option strategy, i.e., no trade management, is twofold. First, no stop whatsoever means risk of total ruin, 100% losses. Three March expiration positions (TLT, TSLL and SOFI) were subject to 50% hard stops and otherwise, would have been total wipeouts. Secondly, and especially evident with the PLTR calls, Best Return was over 1600%, so although a gain of close to 600% looks good on paper, it is much less than half of of highest unrealized returns, meaning a lot was given up by not implementing the 50% trailing stop, which in this case would have exited the trade in mid-February @ +834%. That is why I prefer to protect profits with a trailing stop, usually hanging onto just a few contracts, "just in case" the options soar that last week of expiration. Alas, such was not the case in any of these three.
