News-events are affecting the market in a big way. On the bearish side of the ledger, the spread of coronavirus continues to spook the market. However today ends, over the weekend there will be two days of news-events without our ability to enter or exit new trades until Monday morning, adding risk and reward come Monday's open. In the case of good-news (monetary stimulus) the market could soar once again, in which case taking profits today would be in order. In the case of bad news ( the exponential spread of virus) the market could tank on Monday, in which case moving option positions from in-the-money to out-of-the money strikes makes sense. Doing both, taking some profits and moving the rest into more leveraged out-of-the money strikes would cover either contingency. Just an idea. In any case, going into today's close both money management and trade management are front and center. Finally, the PRO Service entered Gilead Sciences (GILD) this morning on a short-term Buy Signal. It's one stock that could benefit from both good news and/or bad news (see linked article below). We do not have an Intermediate Term Buy Signal on GILD so it doesn't officially go into the Intermediate Term (Premium Service) portfolio. Consider it an "at your discretion" idea. The PRO Service bought the Apr 17th $75C. Gilead Sciences Initiates Two Phase 3 Studies of Investigational Antiviral Remdesivir for the Treatment of COVID-19.
