Every morning the market gaps up some 200 Dow points attributed to some premarket news that is supposedly good for the market. That makes this a news event driven market which is different from a trend driven market. Needless to say, it is much more difficult raking in profits in the former than the latter. As George Harrison wrote, "This too shall pass," and trading will once again be more predictable when the dominant trend overtakes news as the driving force behind movement. Patience.
