Computer issues are rare and few between these days, so this morning when I opened up my MacBook PRO I was startled to find a black screen and no power. Obviously, the issue has been resolved, but alas, only temporarily. A visit to the Apple Genius Bar after the close may result in a delay in my posting the Weekend Update, likely no more than one day, a Sunday publication instead of Saturday. Meanwhile, today's price action fits well into the, "top of significance," theme I have been espousing over the past few weeks. The first few hours of trading reflected a deep dive in technology issues with QQQ leading the market down. As has been the case, the market suddenly caught a bid and recovered into mid-day, preserving the potential for the traditional but not guaranteed Christmas rally coming next week. If so, I've got three stocks on my radar, all sharing the same theme, to be fully disclosed, you guessed it, in the Weekend Update...whenever it may get published. QQQ This bearish price pattern refuses to get cancelled and today's early session deep dive makes it even more ominous, Santa Claus rally notwithstanding. We will monitor day-today and decide on the run whether the bearish case merits more consideration, or whether more bullish bets should be made into the new year. New Capital - Puts If QQQ (currently 614.14 )closes near its low of the day, 611.36, consider adding the Jan $580P to hold into Monday...just in case Weekend Update - Preview
